Birla Cellulose and Raymond Home Expand the Reach of Sustainable Home Textiles with Livaeco™ Viscose

July 06, 2026

As the home textiles industry continues to embrace more responsible material choices, Birla Cellulose continues to strengthen the adoption of sustainable man made cellulosic fibres through its collaboration with Raymond Home. At HGH India 2026 in Mumbai, Birla Cellulose showcased Raymond Home's newly launched Cotton and Livaeco™ Viscose Bed Sheet Collection, highlighting how responsible fibre innovation is creating new opportunities in the Indian home furnishings market.

The collection, which was commercially launched earlier this month at Raymond Home's All India Trade Conference in Goa, marks an important milestone in bringing Livaeco™ Viscose into premium home textiles. Developed as a festive collection for the upcoming festive season, it combines the trusted comfort of cotton with the superior softness, breathability, natural sheen, and sustainability benefits of Livaeco™ Viscose, offering consumers a premium bedding experience for one of the year's most important shopping periods.

The launch collection comprises 12 SKUs across six contemporary designs, each available in two colourways. Offered in a Super King size (274 × 274 cm with two pillow covers measuring 46 × 69 cm), the collection is positioned in the mid premium segment with an MRP of ₹3,499. It will be rolled out through Raymond Home's general trade network across India in time for the festive season.

The unveiling at HGH India was attended by the Raymond Home leadership team, including Mr. Vipul Mathur, Chief Business Officer, Mr. Amit Mhatre, Head of Sales, and Mr. Ashish Sharma, Head of Product. Mr. Murugan Thenkondar, Global Head, Business Development, Birla Cellulose, was also present, reaffirming Birla Cellulose's commitment to enabling responsible innovation through strong value chain partnerships. The event was further supported by valued partners Mr. Sanjay Drolia from SSM and Mr. Manjeet Surana from Valiant.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Murugan Thenkondar, Global Head, Business Development, Birla Cellulose, said, "The growing adoption of Livaeco™ Viscose in home textiles reflects the industry's shift towards more responsible material choices without compromising on comfort or performance. Collaborations like this demonstrate how innovation across the value chain can deliver products that meet evolving consumer expectations while advancing sustainability. We are proud to partner with Raymond Home in bringing this vision to life."

Sharing the vision behind the collection, Mr. Vipul Mathur, Chief Business Officer, Raymond Home, said, "The vision behind the Liva Cotton collection is to redefine everyday comfort by marrying the breathable strength of pure cotton with the exquisite, fluid drape of Liva. As we introduce this festive collection, we wanted to create more than bedsheets. We wanted to craft an experience that offers softer, more sustainable luxury while transforming the bedroom into a sanctuary that is gentler on the planet."

Raymond Home selected Livaeco™ Viscose for its eco friendly profile, superior sheen, and unmatched softness, creating a product that meets the growing demand for sustainable home furnishings without compromising on quality or aesthetics. Looking ahead, the company plans to further expand the use of Livaeco™ Viscose and the broader Livaeco portfolio as sustainability continues to remain a key pillar of its business strategy.

For Birla Cellulose, this collaboration represents another step towards enabling brands to develop differentiated, sustainable products for the future. By working closely with partners across the textile value chain, the company continues to demonstrate how responsible fibre innovations can help shape the next generation of home textiles in India.
